We do not advocate “spamming”(unsolicited emails) and we will not disclose your personal individual information.  We collect personal information from you when you join REGARDS.COM and when you send one of our digital greeting cards. You also may choose to provide personal information at other times, such as when you enter a contest or ask that information be sent to you from one of our advertisers or sponsors.  Occasionally however, we will provide aggregated user data to third parties in the form of general user statistics. When joining REGARDS.COM, you provide personal information as described in the “new member information" section below. As a member of REGARDS.COM, you have unlimited access to your personal information in order to determine its accuracy and make changes if necessary. To access your membership information, simply go to "member options" and choose "change your user information". If you choose to send a REGARDS.COM card, but choose not to become a member of REGARDS.COM, you must provide your email address and the email address of the recipient. This information is used to customize the greeting and notify both you and the recipient that the greeting has been sent and received.  REGARDS.COM is committed to protecting your privacy and we will not disclose this information to third parties except under the limited circumstances described below. If you opted to receive email communications from us regarding our products and services, we will also provide you information on how to unsubscribe from future emails. New Member Information If you choose to join REGARDS.COM, we do require that you provide us with certain current and accurate personal identifying information, such as your name, email address, gender, ZIP code and year of birth.  REGARDS.COM is committed to protecting your privacy and will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party. When you register as a new member of REGARDS.COM, you are offered the option to receive email messages from us. These messages may include updates regarding our site's services, features and other information meant to enhance your experience on our site. You are also offered the option to receive mailings featuring our sponsors' products or services.  It is our goal to provide you with information relevant to your interaction with our site and you may unsubscribe from these services at any time. REGARDS.COM does share aggregated user statistics, with third parties for business purposes.An example of this would be that you might represent a part of a percentage within a demographics report shown to advertisers and sponsors of our site.   Cookies In order to continually improve your experience on our site, REGARDS.COM may place a “cookie” on your computer's hard drive. “Cookies” allow us to compile aggregate information about which areas of our site are visited most frequently and to remember your personalized site settings.  The traffic information attained may be used to enhance the content of our site. By verifying that you are a member, the cookie makes it more convenient for you to use our site. Although the REGARDS.COM encourages third parties to adhere to appropriate privacy standards and policies, we are not responsible for the actions or policies of such parties. REGARDS.COM works with a third party that serves ads to this site. If you've set your browser to reject cookies, you can still use our site, but you may need to re-enter information that we would normally obtain from the cookie. You can also set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies. If you do, you will receive a warning message each time our site attempts to place a cookie on your hard drive. Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and other sites on the Internet. Greeting Card Information When you send a REGARDS.COM card, the information you provide to us is used to customize your greeting with the recipient's name, your message, and to deliver an email notification to yourself and to the recipient. We treat our digital greetings as private correspondence between the sender and the recipient and will not disclose the contents of a digital greeting card, other than to the intended recipient, unless we are required to do so by law.  Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate users' personally identifiable information. This can usually be done at the Member Options page or by emailing our Customer Support at helpdesk@regardssupport.com. Contests and Promotions On various occasions, REGARDS.COM may sponsor contests or promotions or allow other companies to sponsor contests or promotions on our site. In order to enter a contest or promotion, you may be asked to provide personal identifying information, and by doing so you agree that such information may be disclosed to the contest's sponsor, whose identity will be clearly indicated on the entry form.  For all contests and promotions sponsored by REGARDS.COM, the information you submit will be treated the same way we would treat your new member information. Other companies who sponsor or co-sponsor our contests and promotions may have their own policies for handling personal information, and information you submit will be subject to those policies as well. Although REGARDS.COM encourages third parties to adhere to appropriate privacy standards and policies, we are not responsible for the actions or policies of such parties. Our Sponsors and Business Partners Our sponsors also may offer you the opportunity to sign up for their services or information, such as newsletters or promotions. In these instances, we will inform you about exactly what personal information is requested by the sponsor, and we will ask you for permission to release your information to the sponsor. If you consent, REGARDS.COM will transfer your information to the sponsor. Once your information has been transferred to the sponsor, REGARDS.COM is not responsible for its use. The sponsor's use of the information is governed by the sponsor's privacy policy. While we encourage our third party sponsors to adhere to appropriate privacy standards, we are not responsible for the actions or policies of our sponsors. Third Party Advertising We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Web site. These companies may use aggregated information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
